Simply stated — this company does not provide the best rates or customer service. What they do provide are fees that will unexpectedly drain your wallet.

I held insurance with this company for the better part of five years. (Should have canceled sooner, but multiple policies initially helped keep the premium rates low.)

Examples of problems/complaints that occurred with this company:

In multiple instances, the company did not cash my premium check on time - even though payment was sent well before the due date. I pay every bill as soon as its received. Complaining did no good. This left me stuck paying late fees. I have not had this problem with other companies.

I was clearing out my e-mail inbox this morning and *panicked* when I noticed that I had forgotten to pay my car insurance. It was exactly 5:01 pm on Saturday, so I figured my policy had been canceled and I was a goner. I crossed my fingers and ran to the phone to call Geico . . .

I dialed, pressed 1 for the “auto insurance” option and a very nice woman picked up. Zero time on hold! Of course, I had forgotten to find my policy number, and I got married so my last name had changed. I was dreading what would happen next, but she said, “No problem, I can look it up by your phone number,” and proceeded to do so.
