This will be my first and last dealing with Everbank and their subsidiary EverHome Mortgage. I did not choose this lender. My mortgage broker did. The mortgage process did not go smoothly. That should have been the first red flag. Many documents were requested right at the last minute. This delayed closing by a week. We closed in late March 2008.

Once we closed we found they didn’t have our address right. Still haven’t. I updated it several times with them. All communication has been by phone. Maybe internet banks don’t know how to use the post office or address correspondence. This is a major concern because of end-of-year reporting to IRS as well as for our own records. AND this particular “internet bank” also never offered us online services either.
