Discover card gives great intro deals, and keeps their customers happy. They have many different cards to choose from, motiva, rewards cards, etc, and they are all great.
Discover was my first credit card, and they started me off with a $2500 credit line. The credit line was high enough to cover my needs, mainly emergencies, but low enough so that even maxed out I could cover the minimum payments.
Customer service speaks to you like they care about you. If you are having problems, they help you the best they can. They are polite, and listen to what you say and do their best to help you.
Discover card’s website is easy to navigate, and comes with free tools you might find useful. Like a paydown planner, where you can start with your monthly payment, and see how long it will take to pay off this account, or a payoff target, and they will show the payments required to have card paid off by that date. It’s nice to have that, though it doesn’t help with other credit cards, because it is preloaded with your information including interest rate, from your discovercard.
Overall, I reccomend this to anyone. Great first card, cash back is a little slow to accumulate, but there, and if you use your cash back through certain retailers online, they double it.
